This will be the 82nd overall regular season meeting between New York and New England, with the Revolution holding the advantage in the series with a 34-30-17 mark. The Red Bulls have posted a 23-9-9 mark at home against New England, including a 7-1-2 record in their last 10 matches against the Revolution at Red Bull Arena. Last season, the Red Bulls won both matches in the regular season including a 2-1 victory at Red Bull Arena on September 10, 2022. New England come into the match on a seven-match unbeaten streak and are currently in third place of the Eastern Conference.

New York Red Bulls defender Andrés Reyes ranks second in interceptions in MLS with 44 and sits in third place in aerial duels won with 73. Reyes has made three career appearances against New England, where he has scored two goals with only two shots on goal. The Colombian international scored his first career MLS goal against the Revolution on May 22, 2021, which was his first career start for the Red Bulls. Reyes currently has scored two goals for New York this season.
