The New York Red Bulls (9-13-10, 37 pts.) will host Toronto FC (4-18-10, 22 pts.) for Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, October 7 at Red Bull Arena. This will be the 40th overall regular season meeting between New York and Toronto with the Red Bulls holding the advantage in the series with a 20-9-10 mark. The Red Bulls are unbeaten in their last eight matches against Toronto FC, outscoring them, 14-4, in those matches. New York have won five-straight matches at Red Bull Arena against Toronto FC and have posted a 15-2-2 regular season mark at home against Toronto. Toronto FC have been eliminated from playoff contention and are on a five-game losing streak.

Midifelder Luquinhas recorded his first career MLS multi-assist match in New York’s 2-1 win over FC Cincinnati on Wednesday. The Brazilian midfielder has recorded four assists this season and has seven in his MLS career. Luquinhas is only the second Red Bulls player this season to record a multi-assist game in MLS. Luquinhas has played in one career match against Toronto FC but found the back of the net against the club on June 18, 2022.

Following Saturday’s match, the FIFA international break will run from Monday, October 9 to Thursday, October 19. After the break, New York will play in their last match of the regular season, heading to GEODIS Park to face off against Nashville SC on Saturday, October 21.
