The New York Red Bulls (7-9-8, 29 pts.) will battle 2023 Leagues Cup winner Inter Miami CF (5-14-3, 18 pts.) on Saturday, August 26 at Red Bull Arena. This will be the eighth overall regular season meeting between the New York and Miami, with the Red Bulls holding the advantage in the series with a 5-2-0 mark. The Red Bulls are currently on a five-match unbeaten streak across all competitions and have only conceded two goals in that timespan. Inter Miami CF are coming off winning the 2023 Leagues Cup after defeating Nashville SC in penalties in the final. Miami are currently last place in the Eastern Conference.

New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Carlos Coronel recorded his sixth MLS clean sheet of the season and his eighth across all competitions after New York defeated D.C. United, 1-0, on August 20. Coronel has now recorded 27 MLS clean sheets with the Red Bulls, which ranks second in franchise history only behind Luis Robles. The Paraguayan goalkeeper has made four career appearances against Inter Miami CF, where has earned four wins and three shutouts. The Red Bulls defense has only surrendered 62 shots on target in 24 matches this season, which is the lowest in MLS this year.
