This will be the 14th overall regular season meeting between New York and Atlanta, with the Red Bulls holding the advantage in the series with a 8-1-4 mark. The Red Bulls have posted a 3-0-2 record at home against Atlanta United FC in the regular season and have earned a result in four of their last five matches against Atlanta. New York suffered their first loss in regular season history to Atlanta in April in a 1-0 loss at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Atlanta are unbeaten in their last seven matches and have not lost a match since May 13 against Charlotte FC.

Defender Kyle Duncan made his seventh start of the season in New York’s 2-2 draw against Charlotte FC on Wednesday. Duncan recorded his second-career multi-assist match after tallying two assists in the draw. The Brooklyn, N.Y. native has registered 13 career MLS assists. Duncan has made seven career appearances against Atlanta United FC and has tallied one assist against them.
