HARRISON, N.J. (September 16, 2021) –The New York Red Bulls (6-11-5, 23 points) face off against Inter Miami CF (9-9-5, 32 points) for the first time this season on Friday, September 17. Kickoff at DRV PNK Stadium is set for 7 p.m. ET with coverage on FS1, FOX Deportes and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.

New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 6 p.m. EST with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Stefano Fusaro will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 6:30 p.m. EST.

This will be the first of two meetings between New York and Miami this season. New York and Miami met two times last season, with both teams earning three points on the road. Inter Miami CF extended their unbeaten streak to six games after defeating Toronto FC (1-0) on Tuesday. Since July 22, they have earned seven of their nine wins this season.

Forward Patryk Klimala scored his fifth goal of the season on Tuesday against Columbus Crew. Klimala has now recorded four of his five goals on the road this year, with his lone home goal coming on July 8 against Philadelphia Union. He has been involved in three of New York’s last five goals, with two goals and one assist.

Since August 4, New York has only surrendered eight goals in seven matches. In that timespan, Carlos Coronel has recorded two shutouts against the F.C. Cincinnati on August 4 and the Columbus Crew on August 18. The Red Bulls have only allowed 26 shots on target since the beginning of August, which is the fourth lowest in MLS.

Following Friday’s match, the Red Bulls will host the first New York Derby of the season against New York City FC at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday, September 22.
