This will be the ninth all-time meeting between New York and Charlotte FC with the Red Bulls holding the series advantage with a 4-1-3 mark. The Red Bulls are currently on a seven-match unbeaten streak against Charlotte FC. New York have not lost at home to Charlotte FC with the most recent match between the clubs at Sports Illustrated Stadium ending in a 3-1 win for New York. The Red Bulls have posted a 5-1-1 mark in MLS play at home this season.

New York Captain Emil Forsberg recorded his first career MLS multi-goal game against Charlotte FC last season. Forsberg has recorded six goal contributions in his last four home matches across all competitions.

Midfielder Daniel Edelman has tallied three career assists against Charlotte FC. The Warren, N.J. native will be seeking his 100th career appearance for the club across all competitions in Wednesday’s match. He would become the fifth New Jersey native to reach 100 matches across all competitions for the club.
