Red Bull New York battle Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC in Round of 32 of the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, April 15 at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on Paramount+.

This will be the 27th time in franchise history that New York has participated in the U.S. Open Cup. The Red Bulls have posted a 10-0-4 mark in U.S. Open Cup matches that have been held at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
This will be the club’s first-ever meeting against Pittsburgh, who are the defending USL Championship winners. The Riverhounds currently rank eighth in the Eastern Conference of USL Championship with a 2-3-1 mark.
Midfielder Adri Mehmeti scored his first MLS goal of the season in New York’s 2-2 draw against Inter Miami CF on April 11. The Staten Island, N.Y. native has recorded three goal contributions in seven MLS matches this season. Mehmeti made his first career Open Cup appearance with Red Bull New York II on March 20, 2024, in a 5-1 win over the Hudson Valley Hammers. He was 14 years, 349 days old at the time.
Following Wednesday’s match, New York will head to Stade Saputo to face off against CF Montreal on Saturday, April 18.
