MATCH PREVIEW, pres. by Toyota: Red Bull New York Head to Subaru Park to Face Off Against Philadelphia Union on Wednesday Night

Red Bull New York (6-5-4, 22 pts.) heads to Subaru Park to face off against the Philadelphia Union (1-10-4, 7 pts.) on Wednesday, July 22.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on Apple TV in English and Spanish, and Red Bulls Radio in English via the Red Bull New York app and RedBullNewYork.com.

Coverage on Apple TV begins at 7:30 p.m. ET. Chris Wittyngham will have primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Lori Lindsey on the English side, while Nacho Garcia will have the play-by-play responsibilities on the Spanish side.

Red Bulls Radio presented by Sports Illustrated begins at 7 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Toyota, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley.

This will be the 40th MLS regular season meeting between New York and Philadelphia, with the series tied with both teams having a 15-15-9 mark. The Red Bulls have posted a 6-10-4 mark at Subaru Park, which includes a 0-3-2 mark in their last five matches at the venue.

New York won the most recent match against the clubs with a 1-0 win over Philadelphia at Sports Illustrated Stadium on August 16, 2025, with defender Dylan Nealis scoring the game-winning goal, which was his first career MLS goal.

Red Bulls winger Jorge Ruvalcaba has scored four goals in his last four MLS appearances, which included a brace in New York’s 2-1 win over Sporting KC on May 23.

Between Matchday 12 and Matchday 15, Ruvalcaba has ranked tied for second in MLS in goals scored. The Rialto, California native has scored seven MLS goals this season, which ranks tied for first among MLS newcomers.
 
Following Wednesday’s match, New York will battle Charlotte FC on Saturday, July 25 for REDD’s Birthday Celebration at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
