All-Time Series: New York leads, 12-5-8

At Houston: Dynamo lead, 5-2-5

HARRISON, N.J. (July 2, 2019) – On the road for four of the next five matches, the New York Red Bulls (8-6-3, 27 pts) begin their first of two back-to-back road matches on Wednesday night at the Houston Dynamo (7-6-3, 24 pts). Kickoff at BBVA Stadium is set for 9 p.m. EST with coverage on MSG+, MSG Go, and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.

New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 8 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon. Ernesto Motta will carry the Spanish play-by-play, beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Following a loss in league play and Open Cup, the Red Bulls bounced back with a 3-1 win over Chicago at Red Bull Arena. New York had three different goal scorers, including Brian White’s team-leading fifth of the season, and a season-high seven saves from captain and goalkeeper Luis Robles. The Red Bulls used the same Starting XI from the Philadelphia match, which was the first time New York had the same starters in league play this year.

Entering Wednesday’s match, the last five wins in the New York-Houston all-time series has gone to the home side. Currently winless in their last five matches (0-4-1), Houston is one of four MLS teams remaining that are unbeaten at home, owning a 6-0-3 mark. New York has fared well against Western Conference opponents since the beginning of 2018, going 14-2-3 with a plus-26 goal differential (47 GF, 21 GA).

Brian White continues to shine when his number gets called upon as he scored in his second-straight game last Friday. White, who leads the team with five goals, has tallied either a goal or an assist in seven of the 10 matches he has played in. The Flemington, New Jersey, native scored his first career MLS goal against the Houston Dynamo in the 55th minute on August 29, 2018, which was the eventual game winner in a 1-0 Red Bulls win.

New York concludes their two-match roadtrip on Sunday against Atlanta United before returning to Red Bull Arena for the New York Derby on July 14. The Red Bulls match versus Atlanta is slated to kick off at 2 p.m. EST with coverage on FOX, Fox Sports Go and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
