HARRISON, N.J. (July 5, 2019) – Separated by two points in the Eastern Conference, the New York Red Bulls (8-7-3, 27 pts) will face Atlanta United FC (9-7-2, 29 pts) on Sunday afternoon for a nationally televised match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 1:30 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley.

New York aims to bounce back from Wednesday’s 4-0 road loss to Houston as that was the first loss by more than one goal in league play. The Red Bulls own a 3-2-1 mark in league play following a loss with a plus-three goal differential (10 GF, 7 GA).

Sunday’s match between New York and Atlanta will be broadcast live on FOX. New York is unbeaten (5-0-1) when featured on national television, including a 1-0-1 mark when televised on a FOX affiliate (T, 2-2 v. SKC; W, 1-0 v. ATL, both on FS1). The Red Bulls-Atlanta matchup will be broadcasted on national television for the sixth consecutive time, the first of which featured on FOX.

The Red Bulls will have two familiar faces back as both Derrick Etienne, Jr. and Kemar Lawrence return from the 2019 Gold Cup competition. Etienne Jr. led Haiti to its first appearance in the Gold Cup semifinal as he started three of the five matches, tallying one assist in 304 minutes. Lawrence started and played all five Gold Cup matches to help lead his squad to a semifinal appearance against the USMNT.

New York breaks up their back-to-back two-match road trips with the New York Derby against New York City FC on Sunday, July 14 at Red Bull Arena. Sunday’s NY Derby is slated to kick off at 6:30 p.m. EST with coverage on FS1, Fox Sports Go and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
