HARRISON, N.J. (October 9, 2020) –The New York Red Bulls (6-8-2, 20 pts) look to snap their two-match losing streak and remain in playoff contention on Saturday as they travel to Atlanta (5-8-3, 18 pts). Saturday’s match is set to kick off at 6 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn in English and Spanish.


Coverage on MSG begins at 5:30 p.m. ET with the Red Bulls Pregame show. Steve Cangialosi will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Shep Messing and Michelle Gingras.


New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 5 p.m. EST with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Ernesto Motta will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 5:30 p.m.




Saturday will be the eighth regular-season match and 10th match across all competitions between the Red Bulls and Atlanta. New York holds a strong lead on the regular-season and overall series record at 5-0-2 and 6-1-2 and outscoring its opponent, 12-5, in regular-season matches. The Red Bulls-Atlanta matchup will be broadcast on MSG for the first time in the series. The last time these two teams met at Mercedes-Benz Stadium was July 7, 2019 in a thrilling 3-3 draw.


The Red Bulls current core has found plenty of success versus the Five Stripes. Austrian winger Danny Royer has enjoyed his matches against Atlanta, tallying four goals and two assists in seven matches. David Jensen had his first appearance against Atlanta, recording a four-save clean sheet at the MLS is Back Tournament in July. Florian Valot tallied has tallied a goal and an assist in the all-time series, including the game-winning goal back in July.


New York has had 11 different goal scorers through the 16 matches in 2020. Last season, the Red Bulls saw 18 different players tally a goal in 34 MLS regular-season matches. The 18 different goal scorers set a franchise record and tied the league record set by D.C. United in 2016.


The Red Bulls travel to Connecticut for their mid-week match against Toronto FC at Rentschler Field. Wednesday's kickoff versus TFC is set for 7:30 p.m. with coverage on MSG and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish.
