It has been almost a full month since New York has hosted an MLS regular-season match at Red Bull Arena. Over that span, the Red Bulls have gone unbeaten in three matches, going 2-0-1. New York tied Philadelphia, 1-1 at home in the Open Cup Round of 16, then captured their third MLS road victory of the season at New England, 3-2, and wrapped up with a 1-0 Open Cup Quarterfinal win over the Revolution at Harvard’s Jordan Field.

Wednesday’s opponent will be the first opponent since June 3 that New York will not have to face twice in span of 10 days or less. From June 14 to July 13, the Red Bulls faced an Eastern Conference foe in either the Open Cup or a MLS regular-season match and then proceeded to play that same opponent in the opposite competition within 10 days.

Bradley Wright-Phillips checked off another competition in which he scored in on July 13. Wright-Phillips scored the game-winning goal against New England in the 87th minute to push New York into the Open Cup Semifinals. The London, England, native has now scored in four different competitions and has amassed 87 career goals, 78 MLS regular season, seven MLS playoff, one CONCACAF Champions League and one Open Cup.

New York travels to face Minnesota United FC on Saturday, July 22. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
