The New York Red Bulls will battle New York City FC on Thursday, August 3 at Red Bull Arena for a Round of 32 matchup in 2023 Leagues Cup. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app, and NewYorkRedBulls.com.

Coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish begins at 8 p.m. ET. Kevin Egan will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Miguel Gallardo on the English side, Oscar Salazar will have the play-by-play responsibilities alongside Carlos Suarez on the Spanish broadcast. New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 7:30 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley.

This will be the 26th overall meeting across all competitions between the Red Bulls and New York City FC, with the Red Bulls holding the advantage in the series with a 14-8-3 mark. The Red Bulls have posted a 11-2-2 mark at Red Bull Arena against NYCFC, including 3-0-0 in matches at Red Bull Arena in outside competitions that are not MLS regular season or playoffs. The Red Bulls topped their Leagues Cup group (East 4) after defeating Atletico de San Luis, 2-1, while New York City FC came in second in their group (East 3). NYCFC are 1-2-2 in their last five matches across all competitions.

New York Red Bulls forward Dante Vanzeir recorded his first multi-goal game for New York in their 2-1 victory over Atletico de San Luis. Vanzeir has recorded five goals across all competitions, which is the most by a single player for New York this season. Defender John Tolkin assisted on both goals and moved his total across all competitions this season to six, which is the most for the club. Tolkin currently ranks first in 2023 Leagues Cup in successful crosses with nine.

Following Thursday’s match, the winner of the matchup will go on to face the winner of the Philadelphia Union vs. D.C. United match.
