MONTREAL (March 12, 2106) - The New York Red Bulls fell to the Montreal Impact, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal. Dominic Oduro, Ignacio Piatti, and Anthony Jackson-Hamel all scored for Montreal in the second half.

The Red Bulls are now 6-3-2 all-time against the Impact, including a 1-3-2 record in Montreal, and a 1-2-1 record at the Olympic Stadium.

New York was able to survive early pressure from Montreal unscathed, with Luis Robles making two saves in the opening 15 minutes, and Impact midfielder Lucas Ontivero hitting the post just before the 20-minute mark.

The Impact went ahead in the 58th minute, capitalizing on a Red Bulls turnover. Former Red Bulls midfielder Eric Alexander jumped on an errant pass and picked out Johan Venegas going forward. Venegas took the ball in stride near the top of the penalty area and slid a pass across for Oduro to finish.

Piatti's goal capped off a Montreal counter attack that began with a cleared rebound after goalkeeper Evan Bush stopped a point-blank attempt from Bradley Wright-Phillips. Wright-Phillips was played through the defense and looked to tie the match at one, but Bush met his attempt and the rebound was cleared to send the Impact the other way.

Jackson-Hamel added the third in stoppage time, poking the ball home after running onto a pass from Harry Shipp.

Red Bulls captain Dax McCarty made his 250th league appearance on the day. McCarty, now in his 11th season, is fourth all-time in New York franchise history with 144 appearances for the club. It was McCarty's 139th start in a Red Bulls kit, a category in which he is second only to Mike Petke's 158 career starts.

Robles played a full 90 minutes for the 108th consecutive regular season match, moving him to within four games of Kevin Hartman's all-time MLS record for consecutive full games played.

Montreal native Karl Ouimette started at center back against his former club, filling in for the suspended Ronald Zubar.

New York returns home next Saturday, March 19, to take on the Houston Dynamo. Kickoff at Red Bull Arena is set for 7 p.m. Tickets are available by visiting www.newyorkredbulls.com/tickets or calling 1.877.727.6223.
