MATCH RECAP: New England Revolution 1, New York Red Bulls 0 -

FOXBOROUGH, MASS. (April 1, 2016) - The New York Red Bulls fell to the New England Revolution, 1-0, on Friday night at Gillette Stadium. The Revolution's Diego Fagundez scored in the 55th minute; while the Red Bulls were reduced to 10 men after Felipe was shown a straight red card in the 61st minute.

New York is now 1-3-0 on the season, and 23-29-15 all-time in the regular season against the Revolution. The Red Bulls now stand at 5-21-7 in matches played in Foxborough.

New England scored in the 55th minute, with Diego Fagundez finishing a cross from former Red Bull Juan Agudelo.

Felipe was shown red after a challenge on New England's Kelyn Rowe minutes later.

Bradley Wright-Phillips had two quality chances in the second half, a partial breakaway in the 60th minute, and a close-range opportunity after a corner kick in the 81st, but New England's Bobby Shuttleworth was there both times. Shuttleworth made six saves on the night.

Luis Robles played a complete 90 minutes for the 110th consecutive match. Robles is now just two full games played behind Kevin Hartman for the overall MLS record of consecutive games started and 90 minutes played.

Red Bulls captain Dax McCarty made his 146th appearance for New York, tying him with Carlos Mendes for the third-most appearances in club history.

Chris Duvall entered the match in the 58th minute as a substitute, replacing an injured Kemar Lawrence. It was the first competitive action for Duvall since suffering a broken leg on July 1, 2015 in the U.S. Open Cup win over the New York Cosmos.

New York outshot the Revolution, 16-10 overall, and 6-5 on target. The Red Bulls held an edge in possession too, with 52% for the match.

The Red Bulls return home to host Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, April 9 at Red Bull Arena (7 p.m.). It will be Autism Awareness Night at Red Bull Arena.
