HARRISON, N.J. (August 28, 2016) – The New York Red Bulls defeated the New England Revolution 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Red Bull Arena. Bradley Wright-Phillips scored in the third-straight match to give the home side all three points.

New York is now undefeated in nine MLS matches, the club’s longest undefeated streak since 2000.

New York is now 11-9-7 on the season, and ends the weekend in third place in the East, tied on points with Philadelphia, but with a better goal differential (+11).

New York is 10-2-1 at home this season, marking the fifth straight season with double-digit home wins. New York has won 10 or more games at home in six of the seven seasons since Red Bull Arena opened in 2010.

Wright-Phillips found the back of the net in the 55th minute, putting himself in good position to volley home a rebound of a shot from Homegrown midfielder Alex Muyl.

Wright-Phillips now has 16 goals this season, tied for the league-lead with Toronto’s Sebastian Giovinco and New York City’s David Villa.

Luis Robles made two saves to earn his league-leading eighth shutout of the season. Robles played 90 minutes for the 133rd consecutive game, and continues to add to his franchise records for wins (61) and shutouts (36).

The Red Bulls are on the road next weekend, facing Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the final out-of-conference match of the season on Saturday, September 3. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET, with coverage on MSG, MSG GO and Red Bulls Radio.

The Red Bulls are next home to host rival D.C. United on Sunday, September 11. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
