MONTCLAIR, NJ (July 1, 2022) – New York Red Bulls II (1-13-3, 6 points) fell to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (8-6-3, 27 points) 3-0 on Friday, July 1, at MSU Soccer Park.

The Riverhounds broke through in the 12th minute, with Alex Dixon opening the scoring. Dixon corralled a long pass from Kenardo Forbes and moved down the far side of the field before sending a shot into the upper portion of the net.

Pittsburgh doubled the advantage in the 19th minute, as Forbes found Russell Cicerone on a breakaway. His initial shot was parried away but the rebound fell to him, and he converted the second attempt.

The visitors scored their third in the 67th minute, as Cicerone found the back of the net following a feed from Daniel Rovira.

Following the match, New York will travel to face Louisville City FC on Saturday, July 9. Kickoff at Lynn Family Stadium is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN+.
