MATCH RECAP, pres. by Provident Bank: All Level in Latest Edition of New York Derby

MatchRecap_16x9

While the New York Red Bulls had the lion share of the chances on the road against New York City FC, neither team found the breakthrough in the 27th edition of the New York Derby.

The Red Bulls had 11 shots, three of them on target, against NYCFC, but were held scoreless for the third time in the last four matches.

With this result, and the 1-0 win against NYCFC back in May, New York wins the first edition of the supporter-made trophy that goes to the aggregate winner of the season series.

The Red Bulls now sit on 30 points with only six league matches to go.

New York will now return home for the first time in over three weeks to take on Austin FC on Wednesday, September 20 at 7:30 pm ET. It will also be Noche Latina, a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and latin culture.
