MATCH RECAP, pres. by Provident Bank: Lewis Morgan Hat Trick Powers RBNY to 4-1 Victory

Lewis Morgan notched a hat trick in the first half of the game, helping the New York Red Bulls jump out to a 4-1 lead at halftime en route to three points on the road.

New York has won two road matches to open the season for the first time in franchise history.

The Red Bulls have tallied three goals or more in back-to-back games to open the season, surpassing their 2021 season total (1). It was the first time New York recorded back-to-back games with at least three goals since April 28-May 5, 2018 when they defeated LA Galaxy, 3-2, and NYCFC, 4-0 in consecutive games.

Patryk Klimala notched three assists on the day, assisting Morgan on all of his goals.

New York has extended its MLS regular-season unbeaten streak to five matches (3-0-2) and outscoring their opponents, 9-3, during the stretch dating back to last year.

Aaron Long added the fourth goal for New York, heading in a set piece service from Frankie Amaya.

Long scored his ninth career MLS regular-season and first since October 28, 2020 versus New England.
