MATCH RECAP, pres. by Provident Bank: New York Red Bulls Downed by New England Revolution, 2-1

Teal Bunbury smashed in Cristian Penilla's cross in the 78th minute to lift the New England Revolution to a 2-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls on Saturday evening.


Diego Fagundez also scored for the Revs, who snapped the Red Bulls' unbeaten run at five matches and overcame an early deficit for their first win against New York in four games.


New York's Bradley Wright-Phillips hit his ninth goal of the season, finding the net in a fourth consecutive game against New England.


Yet the Englishman fell two goals behind Atlanta's Josef Martinez in the Golden Boot race after the Venezuelan scored a hat trick in a 3-1 in over Philadelphia also Saturday evening.
