ATX_MatchRecap

The New York Red Bulls came away with all three points after a seven-goal affair vs. Austin FC in the clubs first-ever matchup.

New York won, 4-3, off of goals from Serge Ngoma, Dru Yearwood, Cameron Harper and Tom Barlow. Barlow scored the eventual game winner just moments after entering the match as a substitute.

Harper entered as a substitute for Ngoma early in the first half, after Ngoma went down with an injury. Both found the scoresheet on the night, though.

Ngoma scored his second MLS goal in his first MLS start on the night.

Yearwood made the most of his first start in a month, drilling home the second goal of the game for New York.

Austin battled back all night, scoring late in the first half to cut RBNY's lead to one. After New York went up 4-1, Austin scratched out goals to make it a one-goal game, but New York locked down and was able to hold off the hottest team in Texas to grab all three points.

New York is back in action on Wednesday in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinal vs. Orlando City SC.
