MATCH RECAP, pres. by Provident Bank: Red Bulls Maintain Dominance vs. Atlanta with 2-1 Victory

The New York Red Bulls rode two first half goals to a 2-1 victory in Georgia, maintaining their undefeated record vs. Atlanta United FC in regular season MLS action.

New York got goals from Lewis Morgan and John Tolkin, which had to be checked by video review, before letting up a stoppage time goal to lose the clean sheet.

New York opened the scoring in the 11th minute, as Kyle Duncan sent in a ball from the near corner of the field that was flicked by Cristian Cásseres Jr. to Morgan, who immediately ripped a shot into the back of the net.

The visitors doubled their advantage four minutes later, as Tolkin played the ball short to Cásseres Jr. on a corner kick. Cásseres Jr. immediately passed it back to Tolkin, who took a few steps and sent in a ball that found its way into the net.

RBNY got strong shifts from Daniel Edelman, Cristian Cásseres Jr. and Luquinhas, among others. The 19-year-old Edelman was making just his second MLS start -- and went the full 90 for the Red Bulls.

Carlos Coronel passed Jon Conway for sole possession of fourth in club history in goalkeeper wins with 24.
