Aaron Long scored to equalize the match as the New York Red Bulls played the Portland Timbers to a 1-1 draw at Red Bull Arena on Saturday evening.

Long cleaned up a corner kick cross from Tom Edwards that Dylan Nealis headed back across the mouth of the goal to bring the score to 1-1 in the 67th minute.

Timbers scored on a goal by Jaroslaw Niezgoda who snuck in a nearpost shot off a cross from Santiago Moreno in the 53rd minute.

The Red Bulls have extended their unbeaten streak to four matches for the first time since 2021, which ran from September 17 to September 29.

New York are unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions, outscoring their opponents, 8-3, in those matches.

New York will continue their 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup run when they travel to Audi Field to face D.C. United in the fourth round. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
