MATCH RECAP: Red Bulls Roll in Harrison, 4-0

The New York Red Bulls might just be the hottest team in Major League Soccer.

RBNY swept aside the Montreal Impact 4-0 at Red Bull Arena on Saturday to bag their fourth consecutive victory. The Red Bulls were paced once again by Daniel Royer, who opened the scoring with a cheeky penalty-kick finish and closed out the late-breaking rout by bagging his second in the dying minutes.

Montreal weathered New York's dominance for long stretches without breaking down completely. But Bradley Wright-Phillips scored his 80th career MLS goal to spark a late flurry that sent the Impact – who at least saw Ignacio Piatti return to the field as a second-half substitute – back to Quebec on the wrong end of a stinging result.

  • 23' – NY – Daniel Royer (PK)
  • 58' – NY â€“ Michael Murillo
  • 85' – NY â€“ Bradley Wright-Phillips
  • 89' – NY â€“ Daniel Royer

  • NY: Sunday, Aug. 6 – at New York City FC (6 p.m. ET | FS1, FOX Deportes)
