New York Red Bulls forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has been selected to the Cameroon National Team roster for their upcoming September 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches.
Choupo-Moting, 36, is in his first season with New York, where he has made 27 MLS appearances and has recorded 15 goals and three assists. Cameroon will first take on Eswatini at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium on September 4 and then they will head to Estadio Nactional de Cabo Verde to battle Cape Verde on September 9. Cameroon currently rank second place in Group D of AFC World Cup Qualifying with 12 points.
The forward has made 73 career appearances for the Cameroon National Team, where he has scored 20 goals and tallied four assists. He featured for Cameroon at the 2010, 2014, and 2022 FIFA World Cups.
