New York Red Bulls forward Serge Ngoma has been named to the United States U-20 National Team roster for their upcoming friendlies in September, U.S. Soccer announced today.
Ngoma, 20, is in his fourth season with New York, where he has posted 30 MLS appearances and has scored four goals. This season, Ngoma has made 15 MLS appearances and has scored one goal, which was in a 2-1 win over Chicago Fire FC on April 5. The forward has also made five MLS starts this season.
This will be Ngoma’s second call-up to the United States U-20 National Team during this calendar year. The North Plainfield, N.J. native has made two appearances for the U.S. U-20’s, making his first career appearance for them in a friendly against Norway U-20’s on June 6.
Ngoma and the U.S. U-20’s will embark on a training camp from September 1 to 8 in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain. They will participate in two international friendlies against Morocco U-20’s on September 5 and 7 at Pinatar Arena Football Center. This will be the last training camp before the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will run from September 27 to October 19 in Chile.
