New York Red Bulls to hold Food Drive at Home Opener vs. Toronto FC on Sunday, March 6th -

The New York Red Bulls and Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) are partnering together to hold a food drive at Red Bull Arena on Sunday, March 6, for the team’s home opener against Toronto FC.


Donation bins will be located at all gates before the match, which begins at 1:30 p.m. All donations go to CFBNJ, who will distribute the food to those in need throughout the state.


Please note, plastic jars and canned goods are the only allowed containers for food items.


Here is a list of the MOST NEEDED items:

  • Tuna, salmon, spam, chicken, ham
  • Powdered and infant formulas
  • Pasta, potatoes, rice, cereal
  • Mac & Cheese, chili, stews, meaty soups
  • Diapers of all sizes


The following items are NOT ALLOWED for the food drive:

  • Bottled Water
  • Soda
  • Glass containers
  • Cellophane
  • Baby food
