HARRISON, N.J. (April 16, 2021) -- The New York Red Bulls have added New York native Ally Melendez as in-stadium host for matches at Red Bull Arena, the club announced today. Melendez will start in her new role this weekend, when RBA welcomes fans back for the first time in the 2021 MLS Home Opener on Saturday, April 17 against Sporting Kansas City.

Melendez has an extensive background working in both broadcast and live event hosting. She currently works as a television host for the YES Network, and has served as the in-game host for the Long Island Nets since 2017 as well as the backup host for the Brooklyn Nets at Barclay’s Center.

“We’re very excited to introduce Ally as our in-game host,” said Senior Director of Field Marketing and Community Relations Christina Giunta-Quarino. “We are always striving to improve the experience for Red Bulls fans, especially now as we return to the arena for the first time in over a year. Ally is an experienced host and brings energy and excitement that will help us engage fans throughout matchday inside and outside Red Bull Arena.”

Melendez has also worked as a sports host for the New York Cosmos, the New York Riptide of the National Lacrosse League, and Atlantic-10 Men’s basketball tournaments at Barclays Center. She is a graduate of SUNY Oneonta, achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Theatre.

"To say I'm excited is an understatement,” said Melendez. “I am beyond grateful for this opportunity with the New York Red Bulls.
