New York Red Bulls Name Amy Scheer Chief Commercial Officer

Harrison, N.J. (September 8, 2015) - The New York Red Bulls announced today that Amy Scheer has been named Chief Commercial Officer. Effective immediately, Scheer will oversee all of the club's revenue driving departments including Ticket Sales, Fan Services & Ticket Operations, Partnership Marketing and Red Bull Training Programs.


Joseph Stetson will continue to oversee the club's Marketing, Communications and Multimedia departments. Both Scheer and Stetson will report directly to Red Bulls General Manager Marc de Grandpre.


The 26-year sports industry veteran previously served as Vice President of Marketing, Media and Fan Relationship Management for New York City FC.  While at NYCFC, Scheer helped the launch the new Major League Soccer club by working closely with the ticket sales and sponsorship groups. In addition, she managed all marketing, media and fan relationship programs.


Prior to her entry into professional soccer, Scheer spent four years as Director of Marketing for Grand Central Terminal. During her time at the New York landmark, Scheer oversaw marketing, public relations, social media, events and the iconic centennial celebration.


In 2001, Scheer took the reigns as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the New York Liberty of the WNBA. While at the Liberty, she increased overall ticket sales by 130% and pushed renewals over 80%. Before her time at Madison Square Garden, Scheer ascended to Vice President of Broadcasting for the New Jersey Nets where she created two New York Emmy award-winning television shows, an award-winning team magazine and a children's radio program.


The proud Fair Lawn, New Jersey native is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she earned her degree in the prestigious Sport Management program. Scheer currently resides in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
