New York Red Bulls Select Jordan Scarlett in Third Round of 2017 MLS SuperDraft

Welcome Jordan Scarlett

HARRISON, N.J. (January 17, 2017) – The New York Red Bulls selected defender Jordan Scarlett (Iona College, No. 61 overall) in the third round of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft.


Scarlett, a native of Bronx, N.Y., and a graduate of Columbus High School, played four years of college soccer with Iona. The defender played a total of 69 games, including 59 starts, and tallied three goals and five assists in his college career.


As a senior, Scarlett was named to the All-MAAC First Team. As a junior, he was voted onto the All-MAAC Second Team, and prior to the start of this season, he was selected to the Preseason All-MAAC First Team.


Scarlett leaves the Iona program having played 1,750 minutes, the 10th highest ever in program history. He was also named to the All-MAAC Academic Team his sophomore, junior and senior years.
