New York Red Bulls, U.S. Soccer Set Date for Open Cup Quarterfinals

HARRISON, N.J. (July 8, 2015) – The New York Red Bulls and U.S. Soccer have announced that the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal match against the Philadelphia Union will be held on Tuesday, July 21, with kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m. at Red Bull Arena. 

The match will be the first of two events that day at Red Bull Arena, the second being an International Champions Cup match between Paris Saint-Germain and ACF Fiorentina. Kickoff for the U.S. Open Cup match is set for 4 p.m., with PSG and Fiorentina getting underway at 8:30 p.m.

Each match requires a separate ticket and separate entry.

New York Red Bulls season ticket holders will receive their same seat locations for the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal vs. Philadelphia.

The Red Bulls advanced to the quarterfinals with wins over the Atlanta Silverbacks and New York Cosmos, both of the NASL. Philadelphia defeated USL side Rochester Rhinos before taking down D.C. United in the Round of 16.  It will be the second meeting between the MLS rivals in the Open Cup. New York took a 2-1 victory in a preliminary round match in 2010.

The New York Red Bulls will face Chelsea FC in the ICC on Wednesday, July 22 at Red Bull Arena.
