A rematch of the 2022 MLS playoffs, and the 2017 U.S. Open Cup semi-finals, between the New York Red Bulls and FC Cincinnati will take place in the Round of 16.
New York and Cincinnati met three times last season, drawing each regular season matchup, with Cincinnati getting a 2-1 in the playoffs.
Cincinnati had a historic underdog run in the 2017 version of the tournament, but were knocked out at home in extra-time by the Red Bulls in the semi-finals.
The Red Bulls were drawn as hosts for the Round of 16, and if they get past Cincinnati, will also host in the Round of 8.
