BY THE NUMBERS: A numerical guide to Red Bulls at Montreal Impact

The New York Red Bulls head north to the Olympic Stadium where they will take on Montreal Impact on Saturday, March 12 for their first away match of the 2016 MLS season. The Red Bulls look to capture their first win after a loss to Toronto FC in their home opener, 0-2.

Coverage of Saturday’s match will begin at 3:30 p.m. with Red Bulls Game Night on MSG+2 and Countdown to Kickoff on Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET (TV: MSG+2, MSG+; RADIO: Red Bulls Radio English/Spanish on TuneIn).

Here are some numbers to know ahead of Saturday’s match against Montreal Impact:

1.14: Luis Robles has a 1.14 Goals Allowed Average in seven games played against the Impact. Robles has recorded one shutout versus Montreal, and boasts a 4-1-2 record against Saturday’s opponent.

2: Red Bulls midfielder Lloyd Sam recorded two goals, including one game-winner, in two games against Montreal last season. Sam, who led New York in shots last week with three, will hope to continue his strong run of form against the Impact and help New York find the back of the net.

5: The Red Bulls scored five goals in a 5-0 win over the Impact in a preseason game in February. Bradley Wright-Phillips scored twice while Sacha Kljestan, Brandon Allen and trialist Vincent Bezecourt added to the score line.

6: New York is unbeaten in their last six regular season meetings with Montreal. The Red Bulls have not lost a regular season game to the Impact since March 2013.

7: The Red Bulls have earned seven points in five visits to Montreal in MLS regular season history. New York is 2-2-1 all-time on the road against the Impact, including a 2012 win in their only visit to the Olympic Stadium (other four matches were played at Stade Saputo).

9: The Red Bulls have outscored the Impact by nine goals all-time, 23-14. New York has led the differential at the end of every season and has never lost a season series to Montreal.

11: Didier Drogba, who scored 11 goals in 11 regular season matches for Montreal, will be out for Saturday’s match. However, last week Ignacio Piatti filled the void and tallied two goals and one assist en route to an opening road victory Vancouver Whitecaps FC, 3-2.
