New York Red Bulls II defender O’Vonte Mullings was named to the bench of the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 24 for his performance against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on Saturday, August 20.

Mullings tallied an assist on New York’s first goal, won nine duels, and made five clearances.

The assist was his fourth of the season, which leads the team. He is tied for fifth among USL Championship defenders in that category.

In his first professional season, Mullings has started all 23 matches he has appeared in and has recorded a team-high 2,016 minutes. He also leads the team in interceptions, tackles won, and duels won.

This is the first time in his career that Mullings has been featured in the USL Championship Team of the Week.
