• The LA Galaxy tallied two early goals in the first half en route to a 3-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls on Sunday at Red Bull Arena.


• New York fell to 5-6-1 on the season, while LA improved to 3-5-2.


• The Galaxy snapped the Red Bulls 19-match unbeaten streak (16W-0L-3D) at home.


• LA’s Romain Alessandrini was key for the Galaxy’s early 2-0 lead as he tallied consecutive goals in the eighth and ninth minute.


• The Galaxy were awarded a penalty kick opportunity in the 78th minute and Giovani Dos Santos cashed in the chance to build their lead to three, 3-0.
