Notes:
- The New York Red Bulls earned their first road points of the season with a 1-1 draw at Orlando City SC on Friday night. New York is now 3-6-1 on the season and has earned points in three straight matches.
- Bradley Wright-Phillips opened the scoring in the 19th minute as he slotted home his third goal of the season. He is tied for the team lead in goals with Felipe and Mike Grella.
- Wright-Phillips now has 48 career regular season goals for New York, putting him three behind Thierry Henry for second place on the franchise's all-time list.
- Sacha Kljestan dished out his sixth assist of the season on the Wright-Phillips goal. Kljestan leads MLS with six assists this season.
- Kljestan extended his scoring streak to four games, with a goal and five assists in that span.
- Sal Zizzo also received an assist on the goal, his second in the last two games.
- Aurelien Collin, acquired last week from Orlando City SC, made his first start for New York at center back against his former club.
- Gonzalo Veron made his return from injury, replacing Lloyd Sam in the 64th minute. It was the second appearance of the season for Veron, and first since March 19 against Houston.
- Orlando's Cristian Higuita was issued a straight red card in the 85th minute for a tackle on Sacha Kljestan.
