  • An early second-half Kaku goal lifted the New York Red Bulls (16-6-4, 52 pts) past D.C. United (7-10-6, 27 pts), 1-0 on Sunday night at Red Bull Arena. New York stretched their unbeaten streak to five matches.
  • With the win, the Red Bulls eclipsed 50 team points for the seventh-straight season, tying the LA Galaxy for the longest streak in league history.
  • New York took home the Atlantic Cup for the second-straight season and sixth time in the last nine years.
  • Entering the second half with a scoreless draw, Kaku danced atop the 18-yard box and sent home the eventual game winner in the 56th to the far post.
  • Kaku not only raised his season goal total to four, but all four of his goals have been game winners.
  • Captain Luis Robles needed just two saves to record his ninth clean sheet of the season and 58th of his career.
