The New York Red Bulls visit the Philadelphia Union for the second time in the last three years to face off in the 2021 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.

Union 1-0 Red Bulls, Subaru Park

Corey Burke scored the winner in the first meeting between New York and Philadelphia. The match that took place on May 15 saw Patryk Klimala’s MLS debut. The Polish striker came onto the pitch after halftime.

Union 1-1 Red Bulls, Red Bull Arena

Patryk Klimala’s first goal at Red Bull Arena helped the Red Bulls grab a point against Philly on July 8. Sergio Santos, who scored six goals this regular season, scored the equalizer to leave things 1-1.

In their most recent meeting back in September 29, Santos netted his second goal against New York in the 2021 regular season to give Philly the 0-1 lead, but Omir Fernandez leveled things up 1-1 to give the Red Bulls a point. New York finished the night with 13 shots, four of them on target.

The two teams face off in the first round of the Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs on Saturday, November 20 at 2:30 PM ET.
