HARRISON, N.J. (May 28, 2026) – Red Bull New York forward Roald Mitchell has been called up to the Trinidad and Tobago National Team for their upcoming international friendly against South Korea.Â
Mitchell, 23, is in his third season with the Red Bulls. This season, Mitchell has made three appearances for the Red Bulls, and he also has made seven appearances for Red Bull New York II, where he has recorded four goals and tallied one assist. In 2025, Mitchell scored nine goals in 15 MLS NEXT Pro appearances, which included five goals during the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs. This was the most goals during a single postseason run by a player in MLS NEXT Pro history.Â
This will be Mitchell’s third call-up to a Trinidad and Tobago National Team roster. In his last call-up in March, he made two appearances against Gabon and Venezuela where he played a combined 67 minutes between the two matches.Â
The forward made his senior national team debut in a 1-1 draw against Jamaica on November 14, 2025, where he substituted on and played 23 minutes. Mitchell also was a member of a Trinidad and Tobago U-20 camp.Â
Mitchell and Trinidad and Tobago will face off against South Korea on May 30 at BYU South Field in Provo, Utah.
