This will be the first time that New York and San Diego FC have met in a competitive match. The Red Bulls have earned a result in three of their last five matches, which includes wins against the Columbus Crew and New York City FC.
Forward Julian Hall scored the game-winner in New York’s latest victory against NYCFC, which saw him become the youngest player in MLS history to score 10-plus goals in a single season. While away on international duty, Hall became the youngest player in international soccer to score three goals in his first three appearances for his national team since Pele in 1957.
Red Bulls defender Julian Bazan has ranked tied for second among Eastern Conference players in aerial duels won since Matchday 23, where he has won 18 aerial challenges. Bazan also ranks 10th in the Eastern Conference in phases of possession with 449.
Captain Emil Forsberg has recorded 12 goal contributions in 13 career matches against Western Conference opponents, which includes seven goals and five assists.
