HARRISON, N.J. (September 17, 2026) – Red Bull New York forward Mijahir Jimenez, midfielder Rafael Mosquera, and defender Omar Valencia have been named to the Panama National Team roster for their upcoming camp, the federation announced today.
Jimenez, 19, is earning his first career call-up to the senior national team and will be seeking his first career appearance during the camp. Jimenez has featured for the Panama U-20 National Team, where he has made four appearances and captained the squad twice. The Panama City, Panama native is in his first season with the Red Bulls. He has made five appearances and has scored two goals.
Mosquera, 20, has made one career appearance for Panama, which occurred on February 8, 2025, in an international friendly against Chile. He has also featured for the U-15’s, U-20’s, and U-23’s. Mosquera scored three goals at the 2024 U-20 CONCACAF Championship, and helped Panama qualify for the U-20 FIFA World Cup for the seventh time in history. The midfielder has made 10 appearances for New York this season, where he has tallied one assist.
Valencia, 22, has made three career appearances for Panama, which includes one during the 2024 Copa America. The defender made his debut for Panama on June 11, 2022, in a friendly against Uruguay. Valencia has made nine appearances for the Panama Youth National Teams, which included the U-20’s and U-23’s. He has made 12 appearances this season for the Red Bulls.
Panama will partake in two international friendlies during the camp. First, they will face off against India on Friday, September 25, with kickoff set at 9:30 a.m. ET. Following that match, Panama will play New Zealand on Thursday, October 1.
