Red Bulls' Henry staying fit with former club Arsenal

Thierry Henry could do little to change New York's fate against San Jose.

New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry is still a legend in North London, home of his former club Arsenal. And now he's back, at least for a short while.

[inline_node:326195]The Red Bulls DP has just started a training stint with Arsenal, the Premier League club for whom he scored 226 goals in eight seasons, from 1999 to 2007. Arsenal's official website stated on Monday that it was a "short-term arrangement [that] will help Henry maintain his fitness ahead of the new MLS campaign."

Henry joined the Red Bulls from FC Barcelona midway through the 2010 season. The 33-year-old French international made 12 appearances and scored two goals, but struggled with a knee injury late in the year and was able to play only six minutes in the two-game playoff series with the San Jose Earthquakes.
