Red Bulls to Host Match Between Special Olympics New Jersey and Special Olympics Massachusetts Saturday Following Red Bulls Match

HARRISON, NJ (October 4, 2013) – The New York Red Bulls and Red Bull Arena will host a match following the Red Bulls-New England Revolution game Saturday at 7:00 PM between Special Olympics New Jersey and Special Olympics Massachusetts.

Who: New York Red Bulls and Special Olympics New Jersey
New England Revolution and Special Olympics Massachusetts

What: Special Olympics Unified Sports soccer match between teams adopted by the New York Red Bulls and the New England Revolution. Teams consist of Special Olympics athletes and Unified partners (peers without intellectual disabilities). The game will follow the 7:00 PM MLS match between the Red Bulls and Revolution. Admission to the Special Olympics match is free for Red Bulls-Revolution ticket holders and fans are encouraged to stay and watch the game.

When: Saturday, October 5 following the 7:00 PM match between the New York Red Bulls and New England Revolution

Why: With the encouragement, support and respect of the Red Bulls players and front office, Special Olympics athletes are not only receiving an extraordinary training and competitive experience, but are provided a forum to demonstrate their talents and abilities to MLS fans and the greater soccer community. Through this program, athletes build confidence, develop soccer skills and learn teamwork.
