Every New York Red Bulls II player possesses a desire to one-day feature for the first team at Red Bull Arena.
Achieving that goal requires both having the desire and determination to work hard every day.
Consistency and responsibility are the themes New York Red Bulls II Head Coach John Wolyniec echoes daily at Red Bulls II training everyday.
“The biggest thing to make that move and to move yourself up…either to another roster or within a roster is consistency,” Wolyniec said.
This past offseason, Wolyniec saw two former NYRB II players graduate to the first team. Those achievements provided a first-hand example of what it takes to make it to the top level.
“They need to realize every time out they’re being watched,” Wolyniec said. “Their performances are of consequence and they need to be on top of their game at all times so that whenever they are being watched that they are showing and proving that they can play at the next level.”
