Red Bulls' Jayne Bussman-Wise Named Official Pride Live Stonewall Ambassador Around 50th Anniversary of Stonewall Uprising on June 28

Harrison, NJ (June 26, 2019) - New York Red Bulls' Senior Director of Content and Communications Jayne Bussman-Wise has been named an official Pride Live Stonewall Ambassador. Bussman-Wise will play an important role in elevating and generating awareness around the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising that occurred on June 28, 1969 at the Stonewall Inn in New York City.

Pride Live Stonewall Ambassadors include a variety of notable figures in sports, entertainment, political and business including Andy Cohen (host and executive producer), Anna Wintour (editor-in-chief, Vogue), Bruce Aust (vice chairman, NASDAQ), Don Lemon (CNN), Elvis Duran (Z100), Jason Collins (NBA), Kacey Musgraves (recording artist), Madonna (recording artist), Robbie Rogers (MLS), Valerie Jarrett (Political advisor), Whoopi Goldberg (activist, actress and host) and many more.

The New York Red Bulls will team up with Pride Live, as well as other local non-profit LGBTQ organizations, to host the third annual Pride Night presented by Bayer on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Red Bull Arena. By purchasing a ticket on www.newyorkredbulls.com/pride fans can automatically donate $3.00 per ticket to Pride Live, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to accelerating awareness and support for the LGBTQ+ community via social advocacy and community engagement to advance the fight for full equality. Donations are not tax deductible.

The first 750 fans to purchase tickets on www.newyorkredbulls.com/pride will receive an exclusive New York Red Bulls Pride Night scarf. The first 10,000 fans to enter Red Bull Arena will also receive a pair of sunglasses, compliments of Bayer.

Bayer seeks to be a globally visible role model for equality and encourages their employees to be and express themselves. Children of members from the local New Jersey business resource group for LGBTQ and ally employees will be starting XI escorts and the group will also provide an employee for the official match ball delivery.

The Red Bulls will wear special jerseys to celebrate Pride Night. Game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off on www.newyorkredbulls.com/auctions beginning July 2 to benefit Pride Live. The exclusive Pride Night Pre-Match Top, which the Red Bulls will wear during the procession and National Anthem, will be featured as the item of the game in the Bull Shop at Red Bull Arena while supplies last. 

Garden State Equality, New Jersey's largest LGBTQ advocacy organization, will have pre-match presence at the BULLevard in front of Red Bull Arena.
