Red Bulls Looking Forward to Final Five Games

The New York Red Bulls are looking toward the final five games of the MLS season.

The Atlantic Cup rivals, D.C. United, come to town on Wednesday as part of New York's brutal September schedule.

"We’re all excited to get back home after a long week," Sean Davis said. "That's another huge opportunity for us and we need to be ready."

With the Red Bulls fighting to solidify their playoff spot, they'll face bottom-of-the-table D.C. twice in the last five games of the season.

"We haven’t done ourselves favors with results, and it’s put us in a difficult position at the end of the year," Jesse Marsch said. "But we’re not afraid of that. And we‘re going to find a way to dig ourselves out and get ourselves rolling again."

New York is currently in sixth in the Eastern Conference with 42 points.

Outside of a home-and-home with D.C., the Red Bulls will also take on the top team in MLS, Toronto FC, in Canda, as well as the best-in-the-West Vancouver Whitecaps and streaking Atlanta United at Red Bull Arena.

"With these five games, we still have everything in our control, everything to play for," Luis Robles said. "We’re going to do our best to pick ourselves up, because we have to. We’re professionals, we’re supposed to be men.

"I think in the next five games, we’re going to show not only ourselves, this organization, but our fans, the type of men that we are."
