Red Bulls Will Look to Build On Win

Jesse Marsch

The New York Red Bulls ended their skid with a 2-0 win over D.C. United on Saturday. As they head into another home game, taking on the top-of-the-east Columbus Crew SC, Head Coach Jesse Marsch said the team won't be overconfident.

"I think the last two games have been good and so now it’s key to keep building on that," Marsch said following training on Tuesday.

New York is 29-26-10 all time vs. Crew SC, and 3-1-1 against them over their last five games.

"When we play Columbus it’s always a good game," Marsch said. "We weren’t overly frustrated or disappointed when we weren’t getting the results, we just try to look at things and figure out how to get better. And after a good result, its not like we’re overly excited so its about just making sure everyday we continue to get a little bit better and put a little bit more into it and get ourselves to exactly where we know we can get."

The Red Bulls scored twice against D.C. after being held to one goal over their last three games.

"There’s been some positive signs as of late," Marsch said.
