Our goalkeeper Ryan Meara, who has been with our club since 2012, will be inducted into the Fordham Athletic Hall of Fame in October.
With the men’s soccer program, Meara set a school career record with 31 shutouts, was named 2011 Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year, earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors three straight years and won the 2012 Vincent T. Lombardi Award. Also, Meara’s career goal against average of 0.87 is the best in school history.
Last season, Meara played 1,232 minutes, recording 48 saves, according to Opta.
Meara’s class is scheduled to be inducted on 2021 Homecoming weekend on Thursday, October 7, on the Rose Hill campus.
