In the first regular season game between New York and Philadelphia, the Red Bulls earned a point in a 2-2 draw. The two teams will battle a final time to end the regular season on October 23.

New York Red Bulls

  • Record: 13-9-9 (48 points)
  • Previous Match: RBNY win, 1-0 against Montreal
  • Record in Last Five Matches: 3-0-2
  • Goals Leader: Bradley Wright-Phillips (20)
  • Assists Leader: Sacha Kljestan (16)

Philadelphia Union

  • Record: 11-11-9 (42 points)

  • Record in Last Five Matches: 1-2-2
  • Goals Leader: Chris Pontius (11)

Philadelphia currently sits at fourth place in the Eastern Conference, suffering from a slump of late. Their last game was a 1-1 draw on the road, visiting Toronto FC. Alejandro Bedoya scored his first goal for the Union, a beautiful chip shot over the goalie.

The addition of Bedoya to a roster already featuring Chris Pontius and Roland Alberg will leave the Red Bulls’ defense with their hands full. Goalkeeper Andre Blake has been strong in goal for the Union, tied for the seventh most saves this season with Luis Robles

The Union are 3-8-5 away from home on the season, and they come to Red Bull Arena eager to clinch a playoff berth. New York must prepare for a team that is desperate to hold on to the fourth seed.

The Red Bulls are coming off a victory in their last MLS game, defeating Montreal 1-0 last Saturday. New York looks to extend their unbeaten streak to 14 games, while continuing Philadelphia’s winless streak to five games.

Bradley Wright-Phillips is currently the Golden Boot leader, with 20 goals on the season. Sacha Kljestan also sits in first place atop the MLS assist leaders with 16 assists so far this season. Luis Robles leads the league in shutouts (10) this season as well.

Come out to Red Bull Arena to support your Red Bulls this weekend! Single-game tickets are still available for Saturday's game.
