Mijahir Jiménez, added on a short-term call up from Red Bull New York II, will make his first MLS start on Saturday night vs. Orlando City SC.
JimĂ©nez made his MLS debut against Charlotte FC. The 19-year-old forward is in his second season with Red Bull New York II and has made 32 appearances, scoring 11 goals and six assists. This season, he’s registered 15 appearances with three goals and four assists.Â
The Panama City, Panama native made history becoming the youngest player in Red Bulls II history to score a hat trick when he netted three goals in a 4-2 victory over NYCFC II.
Jiménez is joined in the attack by Julian Hall, fresh off a start at the MLS All-Star Game, with Cade Cowell and Emil Forsberg.
Hall scored a brace in the 2-1 victory over Orlando City SC on February 21. Hall became the fifth player in MLS history to score multiple goals in a match at 17 years or younger.Â
Ronald Donkor and Gustav Berggren control the central midfield.
Ethan Horvath starts in goal, with Matthew Dos Santos, Dylan Nealis, Justin Che and Julian Bazan along the backline.
